'The Lost Strait' sweeps most awards at Iran festival

Iranian director Bahram Tavakkoli’s acclaimed movie 'The Lost Strait' has won seven accolades at a strand of Fajr fest.

The 2018 fest’s best picture, 'The Lost Strait', led winners at the National Will Manifestation strand, which was held in Arvand Free Trade Zone (AFZ) located in the southwest corner of Iran,

‘The Lost Strait’ depicts Iranian combatants in an epic battle during the last days of the Iraq-imposed war on Iran.

Cast members include Javad Ezzati, Amir Jadidi, Mehdi Pakdel, Ali Soleimani, Mehdi Qorbani and Hamid-Reza Azarang, among others.

Jury members of the National Will Manifestation Awards select winners from films screened at the Fajr Film Festival, which was held in Iran from February 1-11.

Patrons for this year's National Will Manifestation include Cinema Organization of Iran, Iran Water Resources Management Company, Iran National Carpet Center and several other organizations.
